Yesterday, I received Morning Sun's new, two volume hardbound set about the final years of this intriguing operation in Bethlehem, PA. The Reading and LV railroads receive informative coverage, while D&H, PC, Conrail and NS make cameo appearances. While basically a photo essay, the massiveness and diversity of the operation is well covered. Having a rudimentary understanding of this mill through 1970, these volumes proved very illuminating. Looking forward to studying these books in earnest. A fellow Tuesday Night Conspirator, who grew up in Easton, recognized the steel company's photographer's photo credits as that of a family friend. Small world.
